I have decided to enter the blogging world to keep family and friends updated on our journey. I have found strength in others' blogs about their Dandy-Walker experience, and I hope to help others.

Just enjoying my little man!
Again I must apologize for not posting in a few months. No news is good news, right? Ian is doing well. He's an active little guy. He loves playing with cars and balls, wrestling with his sister, and making huge messes! He runs more than he walks these days. He amazes me. I could tell you my worries for the future, but why? We all know I worry and always will. Unfortunately that's my nature. But, the worrying isn't stopping me from enjoying every single second with my little man!

Hi Danielle:
ReplyDeleteI found your blog after reading about your son and seeing his "little heros" feature. This is so interesting to me because my son also has brain differences and some are "dandy-walkier like." My son has a hypoplastic corpus callosum, immature gyral pattern, microcephaly and is blind due to persistent fetal vascular syndrome. That sounds like a lot but he is walking, talking, and singing.
I started a blog too because all I could find about microcephaly and blindness was scary clinical information - nothing about a happy family just living life. My son is doing better than anyone ever expected him to.
I'm so happy to hear you are writing this blog to give families hope. That is so important.
All the best to you and your family,
Jessica
